Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16/08/26

Revexo is operated by Alex Nightingale, sole trader, United Kingdom. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

We built Revexo around a simple idea: what you tell it is yours. We don't sell your data, we don't advertise to you, and nothing you write is used to train AI models.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

DataWhere it comes from
Email address and passwordWhen you create an account. Passwords are hashed — we never see them.
Display nameOptional, in your profile.
Relationship detailsThe onboarding questions: how long the relationship lasted, its status, when it ended, why, your current contact situation, your goal, and attachment-style answers.
Your messages to RevexEverything you type in the chat, and Revex's replies.

Information created as you use the app

  • Subscription status (active, cancelled, expired) received from Apple via RevenueCat.
  • Usage records for each AI request: timestamps, approximate token counts, and estimated cost. We use these to enforce fair-use limits and control our costs.

Information kept only on your device

Your no-contact streak, step progress and checklists are stored locally on your phone. They are not uploaded to our servers, which also means they are lost if you delete the app.

What we do not collect: we do not collect your location, contacts, photos, device advertising identifiers, or any information about the other people you talk about. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.

2. How your messages are processed by AI

This is the part most policies gloss over, so we'll be specific.

When you send a message to Revex, your app sends it to our server, and our server sends it to Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI model, which generates the reply. Recent messages from the same conversation are sent along so the coach can follow the thread.

  • Anthropic processes your message to produce a reply and does not use it to train their models.
  • Your account email is never sent to Anthropic — only the conversation text.
  • We store the conversation so you can pick up where you left off. You can delete it at any time by deleting your account.
  • If you write something suggesting you may be at risk of harm, the app shows crisis resources instead of coaching. We do not store those messages.

Revexo is a self-help coaching tool. It is not therapy, and it is not a medical service — see the Terms of Use.

3. Why we use your information (and our legal basis)

PurposeLegal basis (UK/EU GDPR)
Creating and running your accountPerformance of a contract
Providing coaching that reflects your situationPerformance of a contract
Taking payment and managing your subscriptionPerformance of a contract
Enforcing usage limits and preventing abuseLegitimate interests
Keeping the service secure and debugging faultsLegitimate interests
Meeting our legal and tax obligationsLegal obligation

We do not use your information for advertising or profiling, and we never sell it.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers ("processors") who handle data on our behalf under contract. We do not share your information with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

ProviderWhat they handleWhere
SupabaseAccount, relationship profile, conversations, usage recordsUnited Kingdom
AnthropicYour chat messages, to generate repliesUnited States
RevenueCatSubscription status (an anonymous user identifier, not your email)United States
ApplePayment processing. Apple handles your payment details — we never see your card.Per Apple's policy

Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, those transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

5. How long we keep it

  • Your account and conversations: until you delete your account.
  • Usage and billing records: up to «6 years» after your last activity, to meet tax and accounting requirements.
  • Crisis-flagged messages: not stored at all.

6. Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, relationship profile, conversations and usage records. It cannot be undone.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Apple controls billing, so you must also cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings, or you will continue to be charged.

7. Your rights

If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, request a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis. If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information.

To exercise any of these, email Support@Revexo.app. We'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our hosting provider. Passwords are hashed and never visible to us. AI provider keys are held only on our server and are never included in the app. Database access rules mean each account can only ever read its own rows.

No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.

9. Children

Revexo is for adults. You must be 18 or over to use it. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we'll delete it.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above and, for anything significant, tell you in the app before it takes effect.
